A message from Fr John

Dear Friends

It was heart warming to hear the clapping and pan clattering last night - let’s hope that the sense of community cohesion will persist long after the immediate impact of this horrendous virus.

I’m hoping that our young people will learn and foster within themselves that greater vision of a wider humanity, a desire to serve, a willingness to share rather than accumulate. It’s up to us ‘grey hairs’ to help to show the way.

A note from Pope Francis:
May Jesus, our Passover, grant strength and hope to doctors and nurses, who everywhere offer a witness of care and love for our neighbours, to the point of exhaustion and not infrequently at the expense of their own health. Our gratitude and affection go to them, to all who work diligently to guarantee the essential services necessary for civil society and to the law enforcement and military personnel who in many countries have helped to ease people’s difficulties and sufferings.

We pray for Evelyn, Winnie C., Mary, Patrick, Michael and Adela who are sick.
And for Roy, Alf, Malcolm, Chris, Kenneth, Carol Ann, Ingeburg, Patricia M., Eileen, Maureen and Joan who have died. Especially for Stella and Winnie Y. whose funerals we celebrate today.
Please pray for all those who mourn them.

Dear St Joseph, please pray for us

Every blessing

Fr John
