Crisis Team

'Thursday Warm Bank' begins again on 5 January
4.00 – 7.00pm at Christ the King Church there will be time for quiet prayer in the warmth of church – away from the
clamour of other demands - including the Sacrament of Confession - and for warm drinks and companionship in the
meeting room. Our Bereavement Listening and Support Team help to facilitate it. Please tell your friends &
neighbours they are very welcome.

Cost-of-Living crisis guidance
Parishes in our diocese have been reaching out and seeking ways to support members of their community through the cost-of-living crisis, and Caritas Salford has created a guidance webpage to signpost a number of ways we can
navigate through the crisis and support others. Go to: www.caritassalford.org.uk/news/cost-of-living/ or contact Caritas at m.yates@caritassalford.org.uk

Food Banks and Food Clubs
There are many opportunities for support – Food Banks and Food Clubs - across Walkden and Little Hulton, largely
supported by the various church groups in the area. Details on the notice board.

Our parish response will be particularly important especially over the cold winter months and we will certainly
need volunteers to help coordinate and staff that response. Possibilities include: film club, knit and natter club, small games (scrabble, dominoes etc). However, we need VOLUNTEERS and more ideas – how about making it a new year resolution.
