Good morning - getting cooler and darker for sure

Thank you for thinking about Cafod’s Harvest Fast Day

And now for something completely different:

Meister Eckhart was a Dominican priest, theologian and mystic of the 13th/14th Century. He’s not always the easiest to understand but his teaching was an important bridge during some troubled times in the Church. 

One of his beautiful prayers reminds us of the utter centrality of God’s love in our lives.

'When I learn to love You

simply because You are Love,

I come to accept myself simply

because You made me in love

and you never stop making me.

And when I hold on to this and

let go of every doubt, I find

Your love in everything

and I become love in You

and You become love in me.'
