Dear Friends
Good morning - I hope you’re keeping well
Another quiet Saturday morning- it really feels quite odd. I’m normally printing off the newsletter, preparing the bidding prayers and making sure that I have the right stocks of wine, hosts and candles for each church - usually with Classic FM in the background. I suppose we all have little rituals that break up each day and week - the day to go shopping, the evening to phone so and so.
We are having to build new routines if only to help us remember what day it is. Prayer can be a key component - not just our zoomed Masses and Exposition but setting aside half an hour for the rosary or meditation, maybe taking time to remember all those who have blessed our lives with the gift of theirs.
Of course, we remember all those on the front line of ensuring that our sick and vulnerable are cared for and those whose lives are seen ever more clearly as of service to the community. I am very aware that funeral directors have a key role these days and are feeling the strain.
Let us pray for the sick: Evelyn, Winnie C., Mary, Patrick, Michael and Adela and for all those who care for them.
And for those who have died: Roy, Alf, Malcolm, Elsie, Matthew, Stella, Chris, Kenneth, Carol Ann, Ingeburg, Winnie Y., Patricia M., Eileen, Maureen and Joan. We pray with all those who mourn them.
Mass today: 12.00pm
Exposition: 5.00pm
Mass tomorrow: 11.00am
Rosary and Exposition: 3.00pm
Stay well and stay safe
Dear St Joseph, pray for us please
Every blessing
Fr John
PS Jaffa cakes just edged it yesterday
Today: pretentious jaffa cakes or yummy fig rolls?

Sr Joan is holding a series of talks/conversations on the psalms – so much a part of our prayer and liturgy – at Lancashire Martyrs.
