A message from Fr John

Dear Friends

Like so many of the early saints, we know very little about St George but it seems likely that he was a Palestinian Christian convert recruited into the Roman army in the third century. He was martyred for his faith and devotion to him rapidly spread. As early as the fourth century a church was built in his honour at Lydda in Palestine.
Lord knows we need his prayers more than ever as we try to combat this dragon of Coronavirus.

We continue to pray for all those who are sick: all those in our hospitals and care homes and all our friends, Evelyn Winnie C., Mary, Patrick, Michael, Adela
And for all those who have died : Roy, Alf, Malcolm, Elsie, Matthew, Stella, Chris, Kenneth, Carol Ann, Ingeburg, Winnie Y., Patricia M., Eileen, Maureen, Joan, Frank, Robert, Lynda, Cecilia, Lourdes, John, Frank W.
We remember too all those who mourn them

Please endeavour to stay safe - keeping each other in prayer

Dear St Joseph, pray for us

Every blessing
Fr John
