Good morning - I hope you’re well
After all your Bonaventurian soul searching, how about a little light relief?

Miranda was the nicest child,
Perhaps at times a little wild;
She loved the parents she had got,
And like ‘Old Grumpy’ quite a lot.
She only had one tiny vice -
She thought an earwig wasn’t nice.
Now earwigs are the nicest things;
They have no bites, they have no stings.
That nipper at the other end
Is never used to nip a friend.
I keep an earwig for a pet,
And he has never nipped me yet.
And so, Miranda, when you meet
An earwig walking down the street,
Don’t start to scream and run away -
Just stop and pass the time of day.
And he will smile and raise his hat;
His nippers are just right for that.
Enjoy your day - even if you don’t meet an earwig. In fact, I don’t remember the last time I saw one.

There is a very special link between our diocese and the Church in Myanmar - Bishop John, Fr Paul and myself have given several retreats to the clergy and seminaries there. They are a very humble and joyful people. They have a right to justice after so many years of oppression by the military.

Youth Fellowship: returns on Thursday Evenings from 5.30 to 7.00pm in the Rigby Room at St. Edmund’s, with a party to beat all parties to celebrate the canonisation of London-born St Carlo Acutis, our first millennial saint.
