A message from Fr John

Dear Friends

Good morning - I hope you are safe and well.

Our zoomed Mass yesterday seemed to go well enough - despite my technological inadequacies. It was a delight to hear people responding to the prayers and to know that we are all praying for each other. I think the time of Exposition went well although I couldn’t see how many joined us.

I feel it’s important for us to know that we all share in the one love, that nothing can separate us from each other in the ‘love of God made visible for us in Jesus Christ’.

I don’t know what we can do for Palm Sunday - we’re awaiting instructions

Some prayers from this morning’s Office struck me particularly:
- let us perfect our earthly city in justice, charity and peace
- help us to recognise with joy the power you have given us
- show us in the confusion of our lives the things that really matter

Mass today will be at 12.00pm and Exposition from 5.00 - 6.00pm.

I hope you are continuing to light your Candle of Hope at 7.00pm

Please continue to pray for Patricia, Evelyn, Stella, Roy, Mary and Matthew and for all those who are caring for them - and for all doctors, nurses and carers.

And for Anne, Edward, Mary, Chris and Frank - and little Emily - who have died. We remember too all those who mourn them.

A special saint for today, her feast day - St Mary of Egypt - an extraordinary woman

St Joseph, our guardian and patron, pray for us

Blessings

Fr John
