Imagining Reality: Beauty, goodness and truth in English Literature is a study weekend exploring the connection between reading, imagination, and character formation through the lens of English literature, with special reference to J. R. R. Tolkien.
The weekend will explore the role of the imagination in developing important Christian themes in English literature, our place in the world and the formation of our character.
Presentations and readings from Dr Victoria Seed and Revd Dr Michael Halsall will focus on a range of well-loved classics, as well as giving a particular insight into JRR Tolkien.
